In-Person Gathering Plan

Each phase is contingent on no changes to COVID-19 status or altered government guidelines.

Principles that guide our decision:

• Stay in step with our community.
• Love one another with patience and grace.

Phase 1: June

During the month of June, we will continue gathering online for weekend worship. We are encouraging you to invite other families, friends or neighbors to worship with you at home using the livestream and provided materials. Groups are encouraged to find safe ways to connect in person at their discretion.

Phase 2: July

We will begin modified worship gatherings at Ooltewah Elementary school on July 5. The following health and sanitation guidelines will be implemented:

• Face Coverings: As of July 10, face coverings are mandatory inside Hamilton County Schools. Attenders can bring a face covering from home or take one of the masks provided at the door. You can read a letter from our Elders here.
• Hand Sanitizer Stations: These will be located in the lobby and gym.
• Seating: We will observe 6-foot physical distancing and not exceed 50% capacity.
• Cleaning: We will clean before and after each service.
• Greeting: Greeters will have fun non-contact greetings, and will open/hold doors for entering and exiting the building.
• Cafe: We will not provide coffee or other food and drink.
• Kids Ministry: We will not provide kids ministry, but we encourage you to worship with your family.

We understand not all will be ready to gather in person, so we will continue to livestream our worship services on Facebook, Youtube and 2RC.org/live.

Student Ministries will resume in-person gatherings.

Other ministries, such as Men’s and Women’s, can gather in groups of less than 50.

Phase 3: Current Phase

Contingent on no changes to COVID-19 status or altered government guidelines, weekend worship gatherings will return to a new normal. Kids Ministry has opened classes for ages 2-4 with additional health guidelines and modifications in place. We hope to open an additional class soon (Nov or Dec 2020). We will continue to provide the livestream online.
