Prayer

What is prayer?

Prayer is communicating with God through talking with Him and listening to Him. We believe that Jesus is living, active, and still speaking. Through prayer, we have the privilege of hearing what He says, and that is life-changing!

Why Pray?

We pray to become closer to God, to be made more like Jesus, to be in His presence, and to be in His will. Prayer isn’t boring, and when we talk with God we see Him move; we experience miracles. Jesus makes a promise in Matthew 18:20, “When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, my Father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of me, you can be sure that I’ll be there.” At Two Rivers, we believe in community, and we love watching God move as we do life together.

Opportunities for Prayer?

Our church elders gather in the OES library between services on the FIRST Sunday of every month to pray with and for anyone who has a need.

We have a monthly prayer gathering that meets on the FIRST Tuesday of every month at our ministry center (6615 Ooltewah Georgetown Rd.) at 6:30pm.
